Quick answer
If you lost your mailbox key or need a replacement mailbox key, the mailbox is typically serviced through the U.S. Postal Service for multi-family mailbox systems. M&M Property Management generally does not keep spare USPS mailbox keys.
How to request a replacement
You have two recommended options:
- Contact your local U.S. Postal Service office and request a replacement mailbox key or lock service. USPS may charge a fee and processing times can vary.
- Contact Page Specialty, a local authorized postal service provider. They can often assist with mailbox repair, lock replacement, or replacement keys. Their request form is available at https://www.pagespecialty.com/request-a-mailbox-repair.
What to expect
Depending on the mailbox and lock, service may involve a replacement key, rekeying the lock, or replacing the mailbox lock. You may be asked to verify your identity, address, or authority to request service.
What if USPS tells me to contact property management?
Some communities use mailbox systems with different ownership or maintenance arrangements. If USPS or the service provider specifically tells you that your HOA or property manager controls the mailbox, contact M&M Property Management and provide your association name, property address, unit number, mailbox number if known, and what USPS told you. We can then verify whether your community has a different process.
Before contacting us
Please have your property address and mailbox number available if known. Do not send a mailbox key code or other sensitive access information unless specifically requested through an authorized support channel.
